June’s full moon is named the "Strawberry Full Moon," and will be among the brightest and biggest of the year. According to The Farmer’s Almanac, the name has been used by Algonquin, Ojibwe, Dakota, and Lakota peoples, amongst others, to mark the ripening of “June-bearing” strawberries that were ready to be gathered.
